Is what we think always as real is really REAL after all?

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor
Every living organism in this vast and beautiful planet has its own reality. Fish in the ocean, has its own reality, based on how it perceives the world around it with the powers and limitations of its senses. Same way, the animals in the green dense forests and the intelligent human beings. Every one has his/hers own reality based on their way of perceiving the world around them through their five senses: sight, smell, sound, taste and touch. The reality we think is the reality in fact is the real "reality"? So, what's the reality, is the Buddha always talk about or Bagavadgita (hindu's holy book) always teaches or the dusty traveler always hints or the happiness researchers and psychology professors explored?

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor
Lets take an example, if there is two bottles of liquid one labelled with medicine and the other with poison what would that mean? Yes, medicine is the medicine and the poison is the poison!! If we were sick and to drink one, obviously we drink the medicine. Why because our eye senses the two labels and perceives as written as it is in the mind. Then we make an intelligent move to select the medicine with our hand and then drink it. Here, we have created a reality of our own based on what we have seen and sensed. What is the reality is in fact a reverse? Some one might have labelled wrongly in a hurry or with out knowing; medicine as poison and vice versa? Hard to imagine but the reality is the reality irrespective of what we have created in our "mind".

Okay, lets look at a dense forest in Africa, in particular a nice and wide lake. Deers, wild beasts and all kinds of animals make a visit to get the water. They come closer and closer to the lake and in to the water. And slowly their mouth moves to the water and their legs forward in to the lake. Their reality is to get the water and go back to meadows for grass. In reality, crocodiles live in the lakes, often many. So, they move slowly underwater to get the deers or wild beasts or what ever comes close to the water. Even the reality won't change if the animals know about underwater giants or not.

In application to "living the life happily", looking the life realistically not based on our "reality" can be a great advantage at not wasting our precious time in this  a-one-chance-life in billions and billions of years. Real happiness comes from close human relations, living up to our true dreams, without hurting others physically and emotionally, and being confident enough in accepting our true selves. For example, a man/woman wants to be a millionaire in their life. That's his/hers dream in this life lets imagine. Sure, if they try to achieve this goal by establishing a business or something, they could achieve it in this life. But in reality he/ she might lose some years ( one to 10 years or more) of his/hers life in its pursuit. At the end of this life he/ she may not be needing the money and satisfied with the huge money. No one needed millions in ancient times to be happy and survive. All they survived with is no money but with food and shelter and most importantly, good people and plenty of time for taking care of themselves and their loved ones. Life passes by even you notice it or not. Life won't come back to you if you realize later that you wasted by pursuing something that is not even worth doing it.

In "reality", what we think is the reality might not be the real reality after all!!! Be cautious that in perceiving which is not a reality as reality can be misleading especially in pursuit of living a meaningful and happy life. Consciously use the time by not wasting on something that is unimportant in reality when looked back at the end of your life. Be happy but be real.

How earning more and more money can ruin our happiness?

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor

Money is a useful tool for buying the basic needs (food, shelter and clothing). Once there are met, happiness is a magical flower cannot be bought from it. It's not a product to get from outside sources but from our own thoughts and beliefs. As a truth, money can't buy us happiness; similarly "right knowledge" can buy it.
In this a materialistic world, most of us, study for the job, job for the money, money for the materials and finally materials for the sake of "happiness". How about getting the long awaiting happiness really fast! Is it really possible, its a " big Yes" fortunately. Every one knows as a sentence that money won't give happiness, however we tend to follow it for the sake of happiness because we didn't understand the sentence. `We (= most but not all) have a natural tendency to follow the society around us. Earning more and more money than we need comes at the cost of our happiness and time. In fact, money and materials won't satisfy us besides they steal our valuable passions and dreams.

all rights reserved @Viktor Forgacs on Unsplash

Actually, earning more and more money will bring happiness but it is short term, an hour or a day or a week.  For instance, after buying a car we think that it will bring happiness but in fact we are at least in the beginning. After we bought it, we enjoy for sometime as the new toy is a novel experience for us. As the times passes, we are used to it as just a moving tool. We then spend lot of time, energy and money to maintain it and to take a good care of it. From now, it will not be just a tool but starts to trouble us. The people around us only sees the outward appearance of car as a colorful, useful and rich comfort but not the price of maintaining it. Even, we bought this car as a source of comfort and happiness at the end it's not what it became. Now, we need something else to satisfy us from the external world. Why we are not satisfied for the whole life after buying this car? Our own desires won't stop, it is like salt water. The more you drink it the more you need it. That's why, many work for "something" in the illusion of the future-thing will bring them happiness with out a realistic view of the life as a whole. New materials always flood the world-markets and eventually reach out to our senses. It's up to us to decide whether it will bring a life long, permanent happiness to us or to the society!

Similarly, as when we earn money (by a job or a business) we are indeed trading our time for the salary. Every one is different and has different happiness habits or life styles. For example, a person may like travelling but may not like working an indoor 9-5 job. In this case, he is selling his time and happiness for the money. Many people who are labelled by the society as succeeded are actually sacrificed a lot in their lives. Because the so called "success" means winning over many people to accomplish something like getting straight "A"s and maintaining a 4 GPA. But the student might have sacrificed his/hers hobbies and passions. Of course, some people can get 4 GPA with out much hard work but they still sacrifice up to some extent. Life is not just about success but to live the life as we have been always wanted to live. This puzzle can be solved by choosing a life style which will bring us happiness. Like being a self-planner of our own happiness by carefully selecting between what we need and what we want.

To add, Bronnie Ware discovered the top 5 regrets of dying people when she had worked as a nurse in pallative care. Many people expressed before their death that they should have lived a happy life by following what they had always wanted to do in their life. Also, many regretted that they had lived a life of others and worked very hard. It is always good to realize now than at the end of our lives.

Finally, happiness and money are two completely different poles of a planet. Money can only bring comfort as far as the basic needs (food, shelter and clothing) are met after that it won't really give happiness but our realistic thoughts followed by actions and maintaining close human relations could bring happiness. Planning our own life style that suits us is a vital part in bringing a life long happiness. Every one wants happiness right, so let's  start realizing and start walking.

The 4 stages of "Doing", from the "Unknowing"

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor

There are 4 stages of doing. Just 4? broadly yes, can be. The first one is "Unknowing", second "Knowing", third "Remembering" and the fourth one is "doing". People around the world mostly will fall under one of these four categories.

For example, we might know that "happiness comes not from money but from the memories we conceive". Most of the people in first group, don't know at all that this is what is the truth to be followed in our lives to be happy, means they don't know as this truth exists. While the second category, crowds may know or have read at least once in their life time but they don't recall or execute in their daily lives. The third category falls under which fraction of the people know this truth and remember as a sentence, may not be knowing its meaning up to the depth where he/she can apply in their lives for the sake of a meaningful life.

Finally, the fourth stage of doing. The ones who knows the meaning of the truth and its importance by not only understanding it but seeing it. Who that does in action is the saint or yogi with an unlimited knowledge in a specific area. Saint/yogi's can be in a forest or in a society but without attaching to the things. At this stage saint/yogi's can't be attached to worldly things even they live with them. They rejoice with extreme happiness by living the lives to the fullest.

These four stages of doing can be applied to any truth in the world, like doing a job, studying, agriculture, business and many more. Understanding in which stage we are in, can help us to achieve the goals, materialistic or spiritual.

Living out of the routine 9-5 Jobs: A Perspective on alternative Life Styles available.

Early humans lived a fairly simple life as similar as to the animals, as humans are a part of animal kingdom. Since millions of years humans have been evolved in to an advanced level scientifically, culturally, philosophically, materialistically, spiritually and in many more ways. Even though we posses lot of materialistic comforts to that of the early humans of hunters and gatherers, we still are experiencing extreme "pressure" to achieve "success", like to get good academic degrees, high paying jobs, huge money and expensive materials. As far as many, success means money and fame. Is it? In the search of 'imaginary success" people are struggling to get it and maintaining it still many are feeling depression, anxiety, inferiority, failure and often end up in "quitting" their life. If we compare animals from ages to now, they have not been changed a little in their lifestyle, they follow pretty much same lifestyle as their predecessors did, grazing, migration, reproduction and off spring development.

Not to mention, most of the world follow a 9-5 job in pursuing the success or fulfilling their desires and to earn money to support their lives and their dependents. Not everyone can live like that, not even our relatives the hunters and gathers had done that. They lived a natural life of living in forests, gathering food from animals or plants/trees. In their point of view working in a 9-5 job is a strange thing and in our "development" point of view living in forests is odd thing. It's just ours perspective that is strange or normal.

Many people around the world quit their routine jobs in pursuit of freedom from consumerism and materialism to be happy. They wanted to live fairly simple and easy life, without paying for a lot of materials by decreasing their desires for unnecessary materials that the world of industries offer. It is up to us to decide to find happiness in which way? Then why not to take a lead of our life and follow our heart in pursuing the life that we have ever wanted in happiness.

Some of the great examples of alternative lifestyle happy and intelligent people followed around the world...

1) Jon Jandai: Thailand

Jon Jundai moved to Bankok, Thailand, from a countryside in search of success after society pressurized him for not having a Television! He had to move to Bankok and work hard in the job n which he didn't like. After seven years, he realized that he needs only a bowl of meal and for him it didn't make sense to live for the rest of his life. so he quit the job, moved back to the countryside and pursued farming for his living. Importantly, he became famous after he built several houses from earthen soil. He is proud that he has a lot of time now, producing his own food and building homes in him own land (he has several home now!).

Now he says he is happy, has lot of time compare to his friends. He feel he saved 30 years by not getting in to housing mortgage. He runs a website www.punpunthailand.org for sustainable living and believes in seed saving.

For more details, please watch the TEDx video....

2) John Wells: New York, USA
Living in New York with full of debt and mortgage, John Wells wanted to change to a lifestyle of debt-free. So he sold his house and moved to a 40 acre property in Texas. He has a field lab where he works on creating innovative things useful for day-to-day chores.

3) Mazzi: Dubai
Mazzi originally from Dubai made his fortunes by the age of his thirty and bought a Ferrari for himself. Unfortunately,  while he was driving after a party he had an accident and had to spend a day in Jail which changed his life forever. He introspected and concluded that the life he was living like a millionaire was actually not the life he wanted. So he sold his businesses and hit the road travelling countries.

Meditation/Dhyana: What? Why? and How?

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor
“Meditation” or “Dhyana” (Sanskrit) is a very old mind controlling technique that has been practicing by many sadhus, monks and may others around the world, practiced very long time ago first in India and Nepal. This tool is a path for attaining ‘Salvation’ or ‘Moksha’; self-realization/enlightenment. Simply put, meditation is searching for self by looking in to ourselves. ‘Meditation’ has been attracting much of the attention around the world because of its powers of reducing stress and many others but is that’s it? Let’s see, if we can understand it completely by putting in to three of the following stages of applications.

First stage: Calming the Mind. Meditation, as lot of people around the world know or hear as a technique to control anxiety, stress, hyperactivity (in ADHD/in gifted) etc., So, what meditation is: where we take up a comfortable position (sitting or standing), and focus our mind’s wandering by putting its focus on to a certain object or entity like breath, a flower, a picture in mind, and so on. By doing this mind exercise regularly for at least a week or more, daily 10 min to 60 min (varies to person to person) can calms the mind down to a stable state so that mind focuses on any one thing that we want to focus. Simply put, we are training our mind in such a way that it will stand or sit as if we order. Each of these, anxiety, stress, hyperactivity, etc., is a mind problem, right? Because we think uncontrollably that the mind runs very fast causing these mind diseases. Here, we try to control our thought process to control our mind and turn suffering in to happiness.

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor
Second stage: Inner search for knowing ourselves. Happiness can be defined by many ways by many people based on how we perceive the world and how the society shows the world. Each society thinks in a different way and pushes us to live like that, and think like that. To be happy we need to know what we want not what the society wants from us. If we know what we want and if we get that, we will be happy. Whereas, if we get what society wants from us then we may or may not be happy. For example, if a person likes travelling and roams from one place to the other, but in most of our societies “money (directly or indirectly)” is the main goal. So, think about this, if the person pushes himself/herself to make money he/she may not be happy. There are many great people like Gowthama Budha, Swami Vivekananda and many others around the world who knew themselves and taught the world how to live. Meditation will remove the societal illusion and put us in a state to look more inner than outer. Know who we are, what we like and then just follow that, not the money, to live life to the fullest by not falling in to the trap of money or any other temporary material things.

Third stage: Spiritual search and enjoying the ultimate happiness. So, spiritual search is just knowing everything about the life, if it has an origin must has an end. Simple as it is but hard to perceive it in the mind. How, many spiritual leaders in various religions around the world can just give up the things and live in solitude? It is only possible if they realized that all the materialistic and living beings are temporary, if one is born and would die one day, that’s it. For example, budhist monks are living in the forest or in solitude for years by giving up the ‘impermanence’ and following the meditation or dhyana. In Hindu religion, from very long time ago, spiritual leaders have been practicing Meditation/Dhyana not just as a ‘technique’ but more as a spiritual tool for unlocking the ultimate truth of life. Then they abandoned the “samsara” (the endless cycle of life and death) to live in the solitude or roaming among the societies to teach what they have realized. Budha is one of the great people who taught us how can we let the suffering out by letting the happiness in, after his “Enlightenment”. It is our choice which way we want to go in this precious one time human life.

To conclude, how meditation will help us by just sitting in a straight posture? Well it’s just not sitting idle but more it’s a practice of keeping the thoughts in control by constant surveillance in mind. In physical exercise, we keep excess fat in control for a good body shape by physical work. Same way, by constantly looking in to the thoughts and indiscriminately watching them will eventually calm them down and control them for self-realization, finally we can order which way our thought process should go. Let's do meditate, calm the mind, look in to our self of thoughts, and realize that everything in the world which has an origin must has an end. Then finally eliminate the suffering and bring in happiness to our lives, not just a minute or two but a life time.

"meditation is the surveillance of
raw thoughts for an order and happiness"

Are we really living our lives? or in a illusion of 'Success is money & fame'?

You decide your life-journey, to the right? or to the left?
source: editor of mayacolours.org
A single subject behind all societies around the world running is “success” isn’t it? We would be born, struggle to crawl, walk and talk, play, get in to school, university, job, marry, save money, have kids, raise them and take care of them and finally we die. This is just the cycle of our human life! In each stage of the cycle money or fame is the routine final ‘destination’ we will keep in mind for that we lose time for money and happiness for fame! However, we feel miserable or painful in our lives as whole or in part or at some point(s) and crave for happiness and time; like closing our own eyes and craving to see some light. For living the life, we need to know what the success really means, because there won’t be two completely different answers for a single problem. Honestly, what success is? By comparing and thinking critically about the lives of 3 groups, people with huge money, people with very less/no money and people living in the forests (hunters and gatherers), we can come up with a “Truth”. Realizing that truth is extremely important, otherwise we don’t know where we are going in the life journey and might waste our precious life, ~100 years!

Let’s just get started first with the people having huge money, (some) the CEOs of companies, movie actors, business men and politicians. Businessman (some) can earn huge amount of money because of the professions they were chosen, for the talent they possess and for having a huge craving/passion/gift for money. As we know, hard work (physically or mentally) is required to get profits in any business. So, working hard will displace the quality time to be spent with themselves (for their hobbies, passions, interests and so on), their family and friends. Once they have huge money and profits they get used to it and no longer feel happy for the money they have been earned. At this point the right or wrong mindset can lead to happiness or unhappiness in life.

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor
Secondly, people with less or no money, (some) farmers, artists, wanderers and monks/saints. This group of people intentionally or unintentionally have lot of time and huge happiness relative to the group discussed just above. As this group has lot of time, they just live the life as they like or happen. They get a chance to look after themselves for proper sleep/food, maintaining good relationships, and following their passions/hobbies in their leisure time. Even though they have less money as far as their basic needs are met they can be happy. If these people compare and compete with the above group, then the suffering and pain might follow because you need to change yourself to get the ‘money-success’. People who has less information and interest about the outside world will be much happier than the rest like people living in rural areas. Less comparison and desires leads to more time and happiness.

Finally, indigenous people/people living in the forests as tribes, (few examples are) people living in Papua New Guinea, Andaman Nicobar Islands and Namibia desert. This group has been living like our ancestors (naturally) who lived thousands and thousands of years ago. Most of their time spent is for food, either they go for hunting animals or gathering food like roots, fruits etc., in the forest. As these communities, don’t have any electronic appliances, they don’t know much about their outside world. They live close to their families, work for food, perform rituals/festivals of their own kind and find happiness in them. Himba tribe is in northern part of Namibia, they don’t wear complete clothing as we do and use certain type of plant extract (red in colour called- otjize) to apply on their body.

In essence, people with huge money to the tribes living isolated with no money, we can conclude that to earn the money we lose time and for fame we lose happiness. Living the life is essentially an art and it’s important to open the inner eyes to realize and to learn it. What a life really is? and to know what ‘success’ means? is it money and fame? or time and happiness? Because if we are mistaken about the actual meaning of success there won’t be another life to correct it.

Angels of happiness, how they look like?

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor
Happiness is the goal of every living organism including human beings. We, the humans, mostly think about being happy and work hard for achieving it. Different individuals define 'happiness' differently according to their lives and run for it but it’s extremely important to realize the truth about the definition of happiness and happiness itself. Here there is no need to word like 'happiness' and 'real happiness', but the actual happiness comes not from outside of ourselves, means not from the outside world nor from the materialistic world instead it comes from within ourselves. What we think, what we do and what we feel lead to being a blessed mindset. To live a meaningful and happy life one should customize their life how they want their life to be because life is just a one chance in lifetime! Imitating others life or living others life simply leads to an unhappy or meaningless life.
all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or @original contributor
For instance, some find happiness in enjoying the beauty of plants, some in animals while others travelling or talking to people. In this case, it's real hard to separate it out from these all means for happiness. All the above are in fact different but the feeling that we have about it that really brings us the feeling blessing. I mean the feeling not the materialistic aspect is responsible for the ultimate bliss. There is kingdom in India, where the king has three sons, vivek, arjun, and surya. One day they go for hunting in the nearby forest, the coachman prepares the carriage by picking the best horses for the safe journey. The coachman ride the carriage to the forest by following the shady, wide and pleasant route for the kings. They reach the forest by early in the morning. Enthused arjun jumps off the coach and pursue a dear while vivek looks for special floral plants there. Instead of dear arjun encounters bear and fights against it by winning over. Vivek picks up an attractive plant whose flowers are reddish and blue with petals in dark greenish red. While all these things happening, it gets afternoon and the coachman returns to home. Once the kings hit the home their grandfather asks what they have done in their trip, vivek says, "I have discovered beautiful floral plant with variety of colours on its flowers". Arjun shows the scars on his back and surya just walks out of the coach by covering a yawning. Here the grandfather of the kings feels happy only for vivek as he also loves plants.

From this story, it is extremely difficult to satisfy or make happy everyone. As arjun enjoys hunting and adventure, vivek's passion for flowers and surya for sleeping. And the coachman smiles for the safe ride at the end. Happiness for everybody is different by following different passions or hobbies and some gets the fame from the people or gets huge money in return. So be happy with whatever you do as far as you are not hurting any living entity physically or emotionally and by obeying the law.

Chasing "money" and dreaming for "happiness" is like looking for water in the desert!

We all want to be happy in this life but only few people or yogis or monks are happy. Then what makes us feel happy, not that kind of 'happy' we think we are in. Money, great job, good partner, good family, good house, good vehicle, travelling, good degree, delicious food, etc., if they give happiness then everybody in the world should be happy by now. If we observe around, we feel that people still craving for happiness. Chasing money and looking for happiness is like looking for water in the desert. Because money and happiness are two different things. If you need happiness look for happiness. Few simple things as mind training programs like meditation, decreasing desires, keeping down the limitations, accepting the things in the life as they are and avoiding some of the societal illusions helps us to be happy in living and strong enough to face the challenges thrown by the life.

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or original contributor
Desires are the motivation for the human life process. They are good in one sense that means as far as they under control and necessary. If we have boundless desires, we might achieve the huge money and so called "success". Even we see people are rich still not happy and facing the same kind of challenges that other people are facing. So, what to do? Put a stop to desires after certain level, observe them and finally control them. Sometimes, we also set some limitations to ourselves like want to be rich and achieve fame. They are never in our control and they change. If we achieve them we are good nor problem, but what if we are not achieved because of some strong reason that we don't perceive at that point. We just keep on trying in the same direction for ever. It is a good idea to observe the desires and our limitations. So, that we can control them to achieve happiness not the huge money or fame.

Life is easy? difficult? Neither is the life. Life is just life, it has its own way of style. But every individual has their perception of the life. Everybody has their own struggles to overcome to live in the life. Sometimes we face a failure or a success. What does that mean to us? This means that our energy to overcome that hardship is not enough. Sometimes we need to try harder but other time simply our strength is not enough even if we try for 5-10 years. In life, its worthwhile to accept the things that are not in our control. Listen to yourself and live the life. This means that live the way of life you truly want not because of societal illusions.

Meditation is the mind training technique widely used in India, Nepal, Thailand and many other countries. The basic thing in meditation is that you observe your life by closing eyes. After closing eyes and start focusing on our breath we are still viewing and listening to our inner voice. This mind training program helps more than medicine when practicing properly. There have been tons of research on this subject and bundles of research findings shown that mediation can increase some parts of the brain.

We the humans born to forcibly achieve something in this modern life. Most of our perceptions and beliefs and aims might be diluted by the society impression. That means, pursuing that we really enjoy gives us happiness not that society (other than you) wants from us. Life is a onetime chance, it’s good to realize the importance of the chance and to live up to the full. Compatibility makes a huge change in our lives. In choosing friend, job, education, marriage, life style, etc., everything runs on the principle of "matching". It might mean how matching two entities are. You and job, you and life style, you and specific educational subject. To live a happy life its always good and beneficial how we are matching with the things in the life. Modify accordingly to fit with the external world. Become a good match and live to the full.

In summary, to live happily choose to live happily. If you focus on being rich and having fame you get it by trying in the same way, if you want to be happy well then "try it". Decrease desires, keep the limitations down, listen to ourselves to live, accept the things that you cannot control, practice meditation, change the life style based on introspection are needed to put in to practice. If we think what others think about us by the way we are living, we might end up regretting before death. Look at the people lived 1000 years ago, and at ourselves. What have been changed, is it the life style? Think about it.

"happiness is just our thought as same as our unhappiness"

How can 'matching' picks happiness or unhappiness for your life?

The word ‘matching’ means how the two things are best fit each other like how a lock and a key will fit to each other to unlock. There is a great deal of relation between happiness and matching. Happiness is not a state of being but state of chosen being in the mind as thoughts, how we see the situations that happened around us, thinking about it then to have good or bad thoughts that further leads to happiness or unhappiness. How well the matching and happiness-unhappiness are related? Yes, they are well related, as how a specific key opens a lock. A ‘best fit’ will help us to live a happy and comfortable life with a good state of mind. Few things like self-analysis about us is essentially required to know what worked for us the best in the past and trying to change the condition a little by little to have a best fit in the present and future, then yes, we will have ‘happiness’.

At some instances, we see people or we just happen to face a situation, when we go to a new place of different weather that makes us sick. This happens because our body is not best fitted to the change in weather so we feel unhealthy until our body habituates to the new condition or once we leave the place. In the same way, we might feel allergic to cooking oils, vegetables, meats, fruits and other foods. This is due to our body doesn't like some components of that foods. So, for the best fit to achieve we need to avoid or wait till we habituate the foods or places or weathers somehow to feel ourselves good, strong and healthy to have a happy state of mind.

We see misunderstandings or 'fights' between two people or group of people in the life’s journey. Everyone has their own core believes about each of the topics/ subjects. As, some like to follow rules while others are more adjusting/ compromising; some are self-confident while others are dependent; some have morals while others are more in to self-centered. So, it is very common to happen that two-different people with believes run in to each other during a normal day, then there might be a misunderstanding or a fight turn the normal day to an unfortunate day. Possible mismatch leads to all kinds of misunderstandings between two friends/ colleagues/ neighbors/ roommates/ partners/ couple/ in any relationship. Those have a good match will enjoy the essence of friendship or love or relationship or work place those who don’t feel suffering until they change their ways that led to a ‘matching’.

Similarly, not only between two people but also between two things, people and entities, namely education/ study subjects/ career paths/ jobs might happen the matching or mismatching. Because we may not always sure about predicting and having a good match between us and a job or us and a career or us and a specific subject in the college. We may like one subject but we might do poorly in that may be due to not having real passion or not having enough basics to understand it or other reasons. But of course, we will do well if we are matched or by correcting the gap between us and the level of difficulty of that course. Likewise, smart people might end up quitting a high paying job possibly due to having conflicting ideologies between employee and the company/ job responsibilities/ timings/ others. By introspection and thinking about it we can change the direction to get a good matching job or career or education for us to be happy and satisfied in the life.

In summary, matching between two things, the two things may be two non-living/ one living and one non-living/ two living things lead to a happy state of mind and satisfied way of life. Mismatch leads to struggle, suffering, pain and unhappiness as well. The best way to live the life in pursuit of happiness is to "know ourselves". So, that we change the direction of our life to stay away from the mismatched thing temporarily or permanently. Quarrels/ struggles/ illnesses/ sufferings happen more often than we might think in the life, because life is also a thing and looking for a good match with everyone/ everything it encounters. The important thing to remember is that we don't get all the skills we needed to lead the life when we were born, there will always be “pieces missing in ourselves" that needs to be acquired or learnt through lessons during our lives. Know who you are! what you want vs what you have. This solves most of the problems we are facing in our lives. Change the life style to get a good match between us and the other, finally live happy.

how to live happily?

all rights reserved @pixabay.com and/or original contributor
Life is easy when we were in childhood because we listened to ourselves but we are making our lives complicated in the adulthood by listening to or just following blindly of the society either intentionally or unintentionally. ‘Life is a one-time-in-a-life chance’. When we compare ourselves to that of other living creatures we are the most intelligent creatures on this earth. Living under the delusion of societal impression, not listening to ourselves and not thinking about the happiest possible life style that we can have in this life lead us to despair, unhappiness, sadness, depression and all kinds of physical and mental illnesses. We have a choice to live easy or hard, pick the best one suitable for you not dictated by the society. Life is easy when we are in childhood because we listen to ourselves, we can make our adulthood life happy too by listening to ourselves.

In the stone ages, the hunters and gathers lived the life by hunting food, living close to family. They were part of nature like plants and animals. When the stone age turned in to bronze age and further iron age, humans evolved to use metals and came up with new advanced processing and manufacturing technologies. So, what have we gained from hunters-gathers to the present most advanced era of human existence? Depression, advanced diseases like diabetes, various kinds of cancers, and lung disorders because of smoke and lung problems because of various drinks, tooth problems due to certain type of carbonated water. Of course, hunter gatherers have had faced dangerous situations because of predators and illnesses due to bad weather and other natural calamities but they had been sustained and lived close to nature and their family. There has been a longest research study from Harvard University that supports that for us to get ‘the true happiness’ we need a stable and healthy relationships. But now we are far away from relations and close enough to the materials.

In the present modern-day world, we the humans have advanced technologies and methods to live luxuriously enjoying material comforts but what about happiness? Are we happy in mind? From the hunters-gatherers to present era, we have been seen, using stones, metals and now ‘we are being used’. We have initially pursued hunting then agriculture and now on to education based jobs. Are we ready to make a transition like this? Because humans have been changing their lifestyles completely in to the present day fast paced life since ~ 70 years. We totally agree that we are the most scientifically advanced generations with sophisticated instruments covering basic needs to the luxurious infrastructure but we still crave for happiness and looking forward to it that someday we will be happy. If is it so, we the humans would have reached stability in mind for happiness thousands of years ago, right? We are living in a society of fast paced, no time for hobbies and passions but only for money and materials. We chose money instead of happiness in real life but in dreams thinking about happiness. To be happy we needed to choose happy, that’s is not possible in the present day fast paced life unless we realize what we want to be happy and pursue it. Since we were born, we are forced to be like someone and do like something. We have been living like somebody and forgetting ourselves.

In olden days, the era of kings we had poets, story tellers, writers, fighters, dancers, farmers, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, carpenters, and many other artists and professionals but now if we have a look at all over the world, people are running to be engineers, doctors and many other money driven professions. Why we need to follow others or money? why can’t we live simple and easy life in that we will be just happy? Can we get another life after death? What we want in this life? A vigorous introspection is needed to attain to answer this gigantic but important and simple question. Not everyone is alike, everybody is different, so then everybody cannot excel in education or jobs or other professions in modern life. Every individual must have born with a gift, figuring it out is crucial, following it in this life a need. Animals live a happy life by finding their food, building their houses, living their life. Why can’t we? We are so intelligent; then why can’t we use it for attaining a blissed state in our everyday life.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, we are living in the modern era of human existence with all kinds of possible material comforts we could imagine, stop, but are we happy? Are these materials brought us happiness? Following others or society simply blind us result in suffering, sadness and misery. Not everyone is unhappy same way not everyone is happy. Changing the lifestyle for happiness is vital, it happens only after “self-realization”. For others who did not, will always be the followers of crowd and sufferers of misery. Decreasing the desires, keeping our limitations down to the minimum, realizing that we cannot control everything and accepting the things as they are can solve the problems we are facing in this life and can bring much deserved happiness.

Living the life to the fullest is a "skill"
